Like every entrance exam, CUET also has eligibility requirements one must satisfy to take the exam.
Note that the universities have their own eligibility criteria that the candidate must satisfy to study for a particular UG program.
However, the NTA has introduced some general and basic eligibility requirements as follows.
The CUET 2023 eligibility criteria are defined under three parameters as mentioned below:
Age limit: Thankfully there is no age limit to writing the CUET exam. Candidates can appear for the exam irrespective of their age factor.
Qualifying Marks: The candidate must have cleared class 12. However, the marks to be obtained in class 12 can vary according to the university one applies for.
Educational qualification: The candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum score specified by the university.
A certain percentage of seats are reserved for Indian Nationals belonging to certain reserved categories as per the rules prescribed by the Government of India.
However, in the case of the Central Universities, the reservation policy is applicable as per the rules of the respective university.
To claim the benefit of the reservation, you need to upload the required category certificate that should have been issued on or after 01 January 2023 in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India in the online application form.
The exam pattern of CUET UG 2023 is quite different when compared to other entrance exams.
The exam pattern is different for each UG course at different universities and the pattern changes accordingly to the UG program one desires to apply for.
However, NTA has published a general CUET exam pattern to help students prepare for the upcoming exam.
The CUET (UG) – 2023 will consist of the following 4 Sections:
Section IA Languages has 13 different languages. Any of these languages may be chosen.
Section 1A: The 13 languages are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu
Section IB Languages - There are 19 Languages. Any other language apart from those offered in Section I A may be chosen.
Section IB: The 19 languages are French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese
Section II Domain - There are 27 Domains specific subjects being offered under this Section. A candidate may choose a maximum of six (06) domains as desired by the applicable university/ universities.
Domain-Specific Subjects : Accountancy/ Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, .Economics/ Business Economics, Engineering Graphics, .Entrepreneurship, Geography/Geology, History, Home Science, .Knowledge Tradition and Practices of India, Legal Studies, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Physical Education/ NCC /Yoga, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Anthropology, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts (Sculpture/ Painting)/Commercial Arts, Performing Arts, Sanskrit
Section III - General Test is conducted.

Since the exam is fairly new, there are fever institutes offering coaching for CUET entrance exams. Finding a good online coaching center can sound like a tedious task. So, here are a couple of reasons to choose the CUET exams.
Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or Common University Entrance Test (CUET) notice has been published by the UGC (University Grants Commission).
A total of 45 universities participate in this entrance test to provide admission to various undergraduate courses in central universities, UGG Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said.
The exam pattern for NTA CUET 2023 was recently presented, and it is known to have four sections. Many central universities have also confirmed their participation in the CUET (PG), and the details related to the same will be published soon on the NTA website.
As per the latest notice released by the NTA, the CUET Application Form 2023 for undergraduate courses for 45 central universities will open from 02 April 2023.
